Responsibilities:
Insurance Verification Coordinator Role • Acts as point of contact for the practice regarding insurance questions, problem-solving situational challenges, assisting offices in verification of patients’ insurance benefits when needed. • Works with corporate billing/contracting.credentialing team, insurance or other agencies to facilitate authorizations and benefit verification • Assists patients with insurance related problems, questions or concerns, acting as a liason to resolve internal and patient inquiries. • Communicate closely with the corporate insurance team including contracting and credentialing and accounting departments. Provide assistance to clinics and patients through through research, review, and resolution of insurance payments and billing. • Ongoing systems review, research, development and implementation of repeatable and trainable systems and processes to insure accurate, timely and financially responsible insurance verification, filing and processing. • Maintain current knowledge of all State and Federal rules and regulations regarding insurance billing and coding for Audiology services, as well as Medicare guidelines, rules, regulations and reimbursement rates. • Provide education to Practitioners and Management regarding coding regulations and guidelines. • Other duties as assigned. Float Patient Care Coordinator Role • First point of contacts for patients, responsible for greeting them, answering the phones, scheduling appointments. • Maintains professional presentation and organizaton of clinic. • Provides an ongoing high level of patient care service delivery while supporting the office teams. • Outbound calls to patient database to drive business and provide excellent customer service. • Administrative tasks, processing, report preparation, database management, record-keeping, collection of patient payment, daily business close out. • Performs clean and checks on hearing aids and prepares hearing aids and other parts for shipping to utilize warranty services. • Manages supply inventory and ordering • Partners with Providers in reaching clinic targets. • Other duties as assigned.
